How many liters transformer oil can be regenerated by our silica gel regeneration system?

How many liters transformer oil can be regenerated by our silica gel regeneration system?

The answer is it will depend on acid content of the oil. And we have below method to check if we need to replace the silica gel regenerating material.

The dielectric loss of oil is mainly determined by the acid and water in the oil.

Normally when oil is purified for more than 3 cycles, the moisture can be basically disposed of. The moisture content in the oil is detected by an online PPM tester or a laboratory micro water tester. If it is lower than 5~8 PPM, the moisture content in the oil is up to standard. At this time, the instrument is used to detect the dielectric loss value of the oil. If the dielectric loss value reaches the standard, the acid treatment is completed, the oil is up to standard, and the oil filtration is completed.

If the dielectric loss value of the oil does not meet the standard, it means that the acid value in the oil still needs to be treated. Then continue to process 1~2 oil purification cycles, and then test the oil. At this time, if the dielectric loss value of the oil has reached the standard, the acid has been treated. The filtering work is completed. The silicone does not need to be replaced at this time

If the dielectric loss of the oil is still not up to standard, the silicone needs to be replaced.

After replacing the new silica gel, we need to treat the oil for 1~2 cycles. After the treatment, we will check the oil for the dielectric loss value. Based on the test results, we will judge whether we still need to filter the oil. If the dielectric loss value is up to standard, the filtering is complete. If it does not meet the standard, then we need to continue to filter the oil until the dielectric loss value reaches the standard.
